OligoMan is a Microsoft Access based database designed for the management of data related to the synthesis and storage of oligonucleotides used as PCR Primers and overgos. The program was started in February of 2005 and is under current development. The database at PGML currently contains records for nearly 30,000 oligonucleotides that are used as PCR primers and overgo probes. A user manual is in development.

The following are screen shots captured on April 19, 2005 on the development version of OligoMan.

The plate map for each of the oligo plates is generated automatically from the data in the database. This facilitates finding specific oligos by their plate address.

Data from the oligo synthesis supplier may be automatically imported into the database by this interface. This data can be accurately and quickly added to the database.
